Individual Counselling

Individual Counselling

Experience individual counselling sessions tailored to your needs and pace, where we explore what's coming up for you in a supportive, non-judgemental space. These sessions may incorporate conversation, gentle somatic awareness, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and practical tools to help you better understand and respond to your thoughts, emotions, and body. Individual counselling can be particularly beneficial for those feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of support through life's challenges, including addiction counselling and crisis intervention. Additionally, these sessions can aid in building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and coping strategies, making you feel more grounded, resilient, and connected to yourself. We also offer youth and family counselling and couples counselling to enhance relationships and foster communication.

Couples Counselling

Individual Counselling

Two comforting embraces between women in a support group setting.

Couples counselling offers a supportive space to slow things down and better understand what's happening between you. Together, we explore patterns of communication, emotional responses, and the underlying dynamics that can lead to disconnection or conflict. By incorporating crisis intervention techniques, we ensure that any immediate issues are addressed. Using a blend of somatic awareness and cognitive behavioural approaches, we'll work with both the body and the mind, helping you notice reactions as they arise, understand them more clearly, and respond in new, more intentional ways. This is suited for couples at any stage—whether you're feeling stuck in recurring conflict, experiencing distance or disconnection, navigating a life transition, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship and deepen your connection. Couples counselling can help re-establish this bond by assisting you in building healthier communication, increasing emotional awareness, and developing practical tools for navigating challenges together. Additionally, if you or your loved ones are facing specially tailored needs, youth and family counselling can provide further support. By understanding both your individual experiences and your shared patterns, you can begin to feel more connected, supported, and aligned in your relationship, while also considering individual counselling options for deeper personal insights or addressing issues like addiction through specialized addiction counselling.

Accessible In-person Sessions

This service is designed for smaller, remote communities where access to mental health services is limited, including vital areas like addiction counselling, couples counselling, and crisis intervention. I am committed to delivering my individual counselling and youth and family counselling services to rural communities within the Okanagan, Thompson Valley, and Kootenay regions, both in person and online.

Having grown up in a small town, I understand profoundly how challenging it can be to find professional support from someone we don't know or someone related to us, making it difficult to share our most personal thoughts and feelings. Early in my formal education, I recognized the importance of bringing these essential mental health services to the small towns of BC.

Addiction Counselling

Crisis Intervention (Natural Disasters)

Crisis Intervention (Natural Disasters)

Group of people holding hands in a circle seen from above.

Addiction counselling provides a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore your relationship with substances or behaviours. Together, we delve beneath the surface to understand what your system may be attempting to cope with or manage. Utilizing a person-centred approach, we will gently build insight into patterns, triggers, and responses while developing practical methods to navigate urges, regulate your nervous system, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This session is designed for individuals who may be struggling with substance use or addictive behaviours, feeling trapped in cycles they wish to change, or questioning their relationship with coping strategies. Whether you're ready to make changes or are simply curious about understanding yourself more deeply, you're welcome here, just as those seeking couples counselling or youth and family counselling are. This work fosters increased self-awareness, decreased shame, and the development of healthier coping strategies. Over time, you can begin to feel more in control, grounded, and connected to yourself—creating space for choices that align with how you aspire to live. Additionally, if you find yourself in need of crisis intervention, our services can support you in navigating those challenging moments.

Crisis Intervention (Natural Disasters)

Lightning strikes in a stormy sky above silhouetted trees.

Crisis intervention provides immediate, compassionate support following a natural disaster. This vital work focuses on helping individuals and families stabilize, process what has happened, and navigate the emotional and physical impact of their experience. Utilizing a person-centred approach, alongside somatic awareness and cognitive behavioural tools, we aim to restore a sense of safety while supporting your nervous system and gently addressing overwhelming thoughts and emotions—without pushing you beyond what feels manageable. This service is designed for individuals, youth (12+), and families affected by natural disasters, who may be experiencing shock, anxiety, distress, or difficulty coping in the immediate aftermath. In addition to crisis intervention, we also offer addiction counselling, couples counselling, and youth and family counselling to help reduce overwhelm, support emotional stabilization, and provide practical tools for grounding during uncertain times. Our goal is to help you regain a sense of control, safety, and clarity while laying the foundation for ongoing healing if needed.
